Urban Green Justice through Policy and Planning Practice

How can cities be both greener and more equitable? Based on empirical research in 21 cities in Western Europe, the United States and Canada, this webinar aims to explain a green and justice-oriented policy and planning toolkit focusing on anti-displacement housing-related actions and just, green urban planning for municipalities. After briefly presenting the broader research context and definitions of key terms, the presentation will present the toolkit, more deeply examine a handful of its 50 tools, and review a selection of our key recommendations made in the Policy and Planning Toolkit for Urban Green Justice (2021). Our presentation will be a maximum of 30 minutes to leave 30 minutes for Q&A and discussion.
