Celebrating a Decade of Urban Environmental Justice

On March 24, 2026, our lab will celebrate its 10-year anniversary with a special gathering of past and present lab members and long-time collaborators at Lleialtat Santsenca.

Over the past decade, BCNUEJ has worked at the intersection of research, policy, and community engagement to better understand the unequal social and environmental impacts of urban change. The lab’s work has helped advance conversations on issues such as green gentrification, climate-linked displacement, housing inequality, and environmental health, while building strong collaborations with civil society groups, community organizations, and policymakers.

The anniversary event will offer a moment to reflect on this shared journey and look ahead. The program includes presentations and discussions among lab members, a session on the ethics of care in academic practice, and a roundtable with activists and scholars who have collaborated with the lab over the years.

We warmly invite members of the BCNUEJ community to join us for this special occasion.

We look forward to celebrating this milestone together!
